So… What happens at an Improv Birthday Party?

Begin with a low stakes, high energy Improv class followed by a one of a kind Improv show performed by the ExAb cast and volunteer guests. Just as fun to watch as it is to perform.

  • Begin with a 20 to 30 minute, hands on, “this is Improv” class. Low pressure and high energy, our goal is to get participants on the same page, alleviate worries about what to expect during the show and help guests participate at whatever level feels right.
  • Next! A 45 to 50 minute original Improv show featuring the cast of ExAb and guests who wish to take part as volunteers or audience members. No one is ever required to perform. We feel strongly that Improv is only fun when you choose your own level of involvement.
  • If desired, Party Host may bring cake, snacks and drinks for a post show celebration.
  • Maximum of 20 participants and an additional 20 audience members.
  • Costs range from $400 to $600 depending on number of guests.

High energy, creative and unique, Improv is the perfect way to celebrate with friends.

Where: Fallout Theater or your own venue, home, etc.

Who: Improv is for all ages, but we are proud of our ability to know our audience and tailor each event to the age group at hand.

When: Schedules are based on availability. Parties run 2 hours and the space is available 30 minutes prior for set up and 30 minutes after for clean up.

What: Improv can be intimidating for some, particularly for people just walking into it. Like all of our classes, shows and events, our Birthday Parties strive to create a supportive, safe environment where participants can collaborate and create without worrying about getting it right or wrong. There’s no heckling in Improv and we avoid getting laughs at someone else’s expense. We love Improv and we want everyone who joins us to feel good about what they do. (That said, “School Rules” apply for all youth events. So, you know, just be cool.)

Online Parties

  • Parties generally run between 60 and 90 minutes.
  • We conduct a 20 minute, hands on, “this is Improv” class once most guests have arrived.
  • Choose between “Show Style” events that include multiple performers creating original characters and scenes based on guest suggestions or a workshop style event led by a single performer. Both options are highly interactive and fun. Feel free to contact us for further information.

  • Parties typically cost between $250 and $425, depending on number of cast members, etc.
